This is a project about Erosion and the many ways that it can occur. Erosion is a part of nature that cannot be prevented. Glaciers can cause erosion by wearing down the soil underneath them. Water runs through the crust and breaks away pieces of soil, carrying them to other places. Wind picks up fragments and carries them to a different location. The two types of weathering are mechanical and chemical, both of which wear away at the Earth's crust. Soil characteristics are basically the composition of soil. Ideal soil is half solid material and half pore space. Soil profiles are the different layers in Earth's crust, which can also be used to identify it's age. Climate affects are the changes in climate by either external or internal forces.
